Zemek Engineering, which provides a range of services for mines, has invented a unique rotating system to provide a safe working environment for their certified welders and boilermakers to refurbish dipper handles. Once the dipper handle is in the frame, heavy lifting is no longer required. Use of the frame provides easier access for staff and for all inspections. This unique rotating system won the third category of the 2013 8th annual Safe Work Australia awards and a Safe Queensland OH&S safety award in 2012.
